She decided to do her Bachelors in Hotel Management from Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration and then she joined the Taj Group of Hotels to fulfill her career dreams. For about 4 years, she worked in Taj properties all over the country - in Delhi, Goa and Agra, to name a few. She graduated from the Uttar Pradesh University and completed her masters in tourism from the state of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

She believes that to be successful in the area of tourism, one need's to enjoy working with people and be able to think on their feet. Recommendation for Varsha before the guest travelled -

Hi Durjay

I want to let you know that we really appreciate the great service from Varsha in planning our upcoming trip to India. The whole experience was excellent. You have a real star in Varsha.
We had changed to Compass because of a recommendation from a couple in Toronto that knows one of our members Peter. Originally we had started to work with a Toronto based agent who made a big issue having the two parallel itineraries. The experience with Varsha was so effortless and thorough.
I know our trip will be great and we will pass your name onto friends thinking about travelling to India. If you and Varsha are based in a location we are visiting it would be great to briefly meet.

Cheers
Richard

Anchal Anchal :

Anchal has always been in love with "travel" visiting different places with her parents from a very young age. That is what led to her pursuing an MBA in TOURISM.  Anchal's popular for two things here at Compass, her sense of humour and her knowledge of Geography. How much she loves travel is apparent from the fact that she was the highest scorer in her batch and was picked up by MAKE MY TRIP from the college campus. She wasn't satisfied with the mundane airline travel booking job since she was capable of and aspired to do much more. She was at a cross but wasn't really looking for a change when COMPASS found her. Our ideas and vision matched so it was not very difficult to get her on board. According to Anchal, different places, people and their culture always fascinated her and it does open your mind to a way of life practised millions of miles away from your home. She says working at Compass was one of the best decisions she's ever taken, we say for her expertise, sincerity and those clever one liners, we're lucky to have her.

Anupama Anupama :

A graduate in Science with majors in Zoology, Biology and Chemistry from University of Lucknow, she too went ahead and completed her MBA in TOURISM from the same university. It was one great leap to switch over from the field of Science to Tourism but when Anupama made up her mind she went on to achieve her goal with ease and excellence. Reason enough for her to be in COMPASS. She's a fabulous travel consultant, one of the best we have - one of the warmest persons you've ever come across. She is in charge of new destinations and the yearly budget for travel for the team members. In her own words - "I love to explore a destination rather than just visiting it" - she is clinical in tour planning and good with finance. We are sure the "science background" helps her always. Before joining "COMPASS INDIA" she was working with the Taj Group of Hotels in "operations" which is why she understands our guests so well. She joined Compass India with a belief that she will get a platform to fulfil her dreams about her profession and she says that's exactly how things are unfolding.

Sukriti Sukriti :

She belongs to the Holy City Varanasi. (She insisted we write this) Sukriti left a very promising career in hotel industry to join COMPASS. She is a hotel management degree holder from the best institute in India and had everything going for her at the TAJ HOTELS. As a senior manager handling Front Office and training she was billed as the next "future manager" of TAJ. She spent three great years with them but wanted to see more of INDIA and the world. It was a day of great pleasure when she expressed her interest in joining COMPASS as she being with the best in the hotel industry wanted to be with the best in the travel industry. (In her words again) The "operations" department is always on "tenterhooks" since Sukriti is known as one of the strictest managers in the hotel industry and knows the inside-out of all reservation departments and reports. Her experience in training has helped us a lot and her dedication to work always means hassle-free travel for COMPASS guests.

Tanvi Sharma Tanvi :

A history graduate from Delhi University, the world, its various destinations and our heritage started mesmerizing Tanvi very early on. This was the reason why a degree in Travel and Leisure made the most perfect course for her when it came to her post-graduation. And her zest to ever-discover, plan and manage made her profession as a Travel Executive, the most befitting choice for Tanvi!

She strongly believes that just the right quantities of enthusiasm, with the right mix of favored destinations and the prefect garnishing of the best arrangements can make for a most wonderful travel experience.

And she proudly admits that making this happen, is truly a passion with her! She's one of the lucky few to have experience in both itinerary planning and designing as well as tour operations.

Ankush Agnihotri Ankush :

Ankush belongs to the holy city of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh also known as the 'Manchester of the East'.

Slowly and gradually he developed a penchant for travel and has turned to doing what he likes - travelling.

Ankush is a trained aviator, sailor and an ardent traveller. He looks after the IT and carries out the In-house training to constantly improve the service standards of the company.

Ankush loves to have masala chai and is a vegetarian by choice. He loves to eat Indian food and likes to spend time in the pool. His favourite destination is Auckland, New Zealand.

Vikram Singh Chauhan Vikram :

Vikram holds a Masters degree in Tourism Administration from Jiwaji University Gwalior and has been in the trade for the last 7 years.

Vikram was bitten by the travel bug very early in his childhood when he would travel every few years to a novel destination owing to his father being in a job that would get him a transfer frequently. The extent of travelling was such that he would see a new culture even before he would adjust to the latter and so his thirst began to know more and more about the different cultures in India. In his college times, he would escape for backpacking trips and started interacting with the different people he would meet.

Amonst his favourite destination is Manali which is pristine, peaceful and scenic beyond belief. He loves to enjoy hot 'Parathas' (Stuffed Indian Bread) while lazing around watching the sun set in the Himalayas.

Sanjay Puri Sanjay :

Sanjay hails from Chandigarh. He completed his education from Uttar Pradesh. Upon completion of his graduation, Sanjay knew he couldn't resist his calling for very long and he decided to opt for a specialization in hotel industry.

He began his journey into the fascinating travel industry from Varanasi, the most ancient Hindu city (one of the oldest living city of the world) with The TAJ Hotels Resorts and Palaces. His vast experience in the hotel industry, being well accustomed with guest preferences, needs and tour operations and in-depth knowledge about the various destinations in the sub-continent made him the ideal candidate for heading our Operations.

Snajay has been excellently supervising multiple guest operations and formulating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for over 5 years now at Compass. His key responsibilities include managing operations with focus on top and bottom line performance and determining company's mission and strategic direction as conveyed through policies and corporate objectives. He loves interacting with people and fond of playing table tennis, tennis, badminton and cricket

Vidyanath MishraVidyanath Mishra

A double Graduate with Majors in both, Economics and the Japanese language from JNU, New Delhi, Vidyanath plunged into the world of travel with a Masters in Tourism Administration from IGNOU when it was yet to find favour with the masses and be considered a main stream profession. A seasoned professional in the field, he brings over first-hand experience and knowledge of various popular as well as off-beat destinations in India. A firm believer in on-the-job-training, he feels years of bookish learning stand as no match to the knowledge one can gain from practical exposure. He also believes in a systematic approach to everything, and prefers to stick to the rules of the (tourism) game, without letting go of his creative streak. All of these traits combined have come in handy for him to win favourable liaisons for Compass from across the globe. He loves, and can go to any extent to maintain his one-to-one professional relationships with his clients as well as overseas partners.

Vidyanath also has an adventurous side to him, which he discovered during his school days. This led him to indulge in activities ranging from simple hiking to technical mountain climbing, and ultimately scaling the Garhwal Himalayas in 1990 to conquer a peak of 21000 ft. Though out of touch with Japanese, he is desirous of brushing it up and utilizing the same someday to perhaps win us some liaisons in the Japanese market.

Akanksha Pathania Akanksha :

It is said that one should regard his youth as the time to study and train oneself. And this is precisely what Akanksha has tried to accomplish. A graduate in Tourism from Delhi University, she could never pin point if she loved travelling and meeting people more or writing. Having worked throughout college, she already had experience in Sales and Customer Relationship and Event Management. Very keen on finding something to challenge herself in, Akanksha joined Compass because she wanted to learn and grow in a work environment where hard and intelligent work was appreciated, where no one believed in not travelling, even if it was for the simple reason of not being at one place. At Compass, Akanksha is responsible for developing advertisements as well as our brochure and website content. Her flair for writing often lands her the responsibility of copy writing and a good aesthetic sense, that of image selection. However, the third person description of self can even challenge the most wonderful writer, though we do hope you like the content on our website, otherwise please feel free to let me know of anything that doesn't.
