Varsha,
We have returned form another wonderful holiday in India and thought you may appreciate some feedback from our tour:

Mumbai
Hotel superb and lovely room with great view. Guide (Francina) very knowledgeable and interesting - would recommend her to others.
We loved Mumbai and will spend longer there next time.

Chennai
Excellent hotel, fantastic room (upgraded to newly renovated suite). Dinner at Taj Connemara nice - worth recommending clients to use mosquito protection as restaurant is outside (hotel will provide anyway). Guide very nice and knowledgeable.

Mahalbalipuram
Again great hotel with lovely cottage by the sea. Seafood restaurant excellent. Guide - same as Chennai (see above)

Enjoyed stay and tour here a lot.

Madurai
Guide very pleasant and knowledgeable - recommended (forgotten his name but also spoke fluent French - maybe useful for you).

The temple at Madurai was one of the highlights of our trip - everyone should include it in a tour of South India. Our driver was originally from Madurai so we had a second and different tour in the afternoon !

Periyar
Spice Garden hotel really lovely and our room fantastic.

MV Vrinda
Totally fantastic - would run out of superlatives to describe. Enjoyed every second on board. Staff incredible. Onboard guide excellent.

Munnar
Guide here (Babu John) was just superb - you must insist on him every time ! I have his contact details if you need them. I think he did his own itinerary but it was one of the best and most enjoyable day of our trip.
Munnar is a lovely place - should be on every tour.

Cochin
Brunton Boatyard is a really lovely hotel, and our suite was incredible. Guide here was nice and knowledgeable.

Finally our driver, K Vel, was just a delight. A very nice and kind man and an excellent driver - my wife often gets motion sickness when I drive her but never got it once with Vel, despite some twisting and bumpy roads. Would recommend him very highly.

Thanks so much to you and your husband for putting together such a great trip for us - we had a really fantastic holiday. As usual we will be recommending Compass to anyone who asks - your service and attention to detail is incomparable.

We will be back to do the northern part of India that we have not done, probably in 2010. We want to go to Shimla (and maybe Calcutta?) but presumably you can make us a full tour around that part of the country.

I just want to thank you for arranging our tour and to let you know how much we enjoyed it.

Everything went smoothly and we were very well taken care of, and although it was a busy schedule, it worked out well as we never left too early in the mornings. Each day was a new adventure, and was so very different to any other place in the world that I have visited.

The people I met were delightful.....I haven't met nicer people anywhere else in the world.

Karen who drove us around Rajastan was a delight, I hope if I go again to India we would have him again.

I want to thank you for arranging a wonderful trip for us of Rajasthan. We enjoyed very bit of it. Your arrangements were superb. Your company executives in every city were very professional, friendly and on time. They were prompt in their response. Raj in Udaipur was superb. My daughter got sick there and he was very responsive and prompts to our requests. Guides were good. Raghu in Jodhpur was superb.

Hotels were excellent and we loved staying in all of them. We enjoyed our last night at the Lake Palace Hotel.

In summary, I want to say that it was a very well organized trip. Every detail was taken care of. I really enjoyed meeting you personally. We definitely will contact you again for our next holiday and will highly recommend you to all our friends.
